The beautiful ceremony was followed by a wonderfully festive reception.

Janice & Jonathan: A Family Affair

Janice and Jonathan were married at Graydon Hall on the 22nd of August. The bride and groom chose a midnight blue colour scheme, which the lead photographer, Jackson Huang, echoed in the evening photos taken outside the venue. Janice ensured that Jonathan was looking his best by banning him from of his much-loved martial art training before the big day. The dragonfly on the elegant cake represented Janice’s brother, who had recently passed away. The wedding planner for this intricately executed event was Kara Greenwood from Belle Fleur.

Sarah & Rob in WedLuxe

The lush, natural simplicity of Sarah’s family farm set the tone for her wedding to Robert on June 21, 2008. Tall wooden columns adorned with peonies and evergreen boughs led the way to the ceremony which was set within a giant white tent situated beside a river.
Décor designer William Fulghum of Church Street Flowers used lucite panels suspended from the ceiling, hundreds of candles, soft white carpeting and five thousand white peonies to create a lavish white haven for the dinner reception. He worked with Melissa Haggerty of Spectacular Spectacular, who helped plan and coordinate the day.
Sarah and Robert’s wedding was the Canadian Wedding Industry Award’s 2008 ‘Wedding of the Year’ winner. Pick up the Summer/Fall 09 edition of WedLuxe Magazine to see more or view the article online.

Nicole & Adam in WedLuxe

For their decadent, black tie wedding on June 27, 2008, Graydon Hall was transformed into a garden wonderland. Nicole, Managing Director of Graydon Hall Manor and also co-owner of Couture Cuisine, shared in the planning with Adam to ensure it was deeply personal to them both. Inspiration for the coral-colored palette came from a piece of Japanese paper Nicole discovered at a stationary shop. Following the ceremony in the main garden, guests moved into the dining tent where chef Arpi Magyar treated all to an amazingly luscious dinner. For dessert, a spectacular ice cream sundae by Ice Culture was presented in a hand-carved ice goblet topped with a 24-inch sparkler. For more details, see the article in the Summer/Fall 09 issue of WedLuxe Magazine.

Cachelle & Allan: “The 30-day Bride”

The idea of planning her wedding in just 30 days seemed implausible at first for event designer Cachelle Odette Fry, but when a cancellation made Graydon Hall Manor available, that idea quickly turned into reality. Cachelle, owner of wedding and event design company Savoir Flare, made the decision with fiancé Allan Colquhoun at an industry night party at the Distillery in late April with enthusiastic responses from other guests. One of those guests was Ikonica’s Jackson Huang. On May 30th, those 30 mad days of preparation came to fruition.

Alison & Gerard in Weddingbells Fall/Winter 2009

On an enchanting snowy day this past February, T.H. Jackson Huang photographed the wedding of Alison and Gerard. Alison McGill is the editor-in-chief of Weddingbells Magazine, and could have had any photographer for her wedding. For this reason, Jackson felt especially honoured to have been selected for her “hush hush, ultra-intimate celebration” held at the gracious Langdon Hall. Alison recalls “it had started to snow; perfect, sparkly flakes tumbled down making the great outdoors the picture of winter romance”.
